WindowBlender Release 1 Version 39.28
Written and enhanced by Fred Mitchell (BIX f.mitchell)
Requires Workbench 3.0 (Version 39)
Welcome! You now have in your hands a peice of mind-candy
that I have had around for a while, and now deciced to
release to the world. WindowBlender was written with the
AA chipset in mind, but will run on any Amiga running
Workbench 3.0. A4000 users will love this, and will get the
greatest benefit.
I have included two versions. One for 68030/040-based systems,
and one for the 68000/68XXX FPU-less systems. These can be
found in the "bin.f" and "bin" drawers, respectively.
WindowBlender will attempt to allocate the pens of the screen
that it is run on, whether its own or the Workbench or another
public screen. It will fail if no free pens were available. So
screen depths of 3 or higher are necessary (Intuition allocates
four colors for itself, so 1- and 2-bitplane screens will fail).
You may also create project icons that contains the appropriate
settings. Right now, these will have to be assembled by hand, but
a "Save Settings" feature will be created in the future. Nearly
all modes and parameters can be specified as ToolTypes, including
the floating-point parameters. The same ToolTypes can also be
used by ReadArgs() from CLI. If you are specifying a floating-point
parameter from CLI, the template will be post-pended with "_D".
BE AWARE OF THIS!
Docs of all of the ToolTypes/ReadArgs can be found in
docs/WindowBlender.doc.
Enjoy!!!
